About Us

What is the OSA?

The Owen’s School Association (OSA) is a charitable organisation whose members are parents or carers of children at Dame Alice Owen’s School.

The OSA’s main aims are:

  • to raise essential funds to support many School projects
  • to purchase books and equipment for all School Departments
  • to provide valuable extra resources for all students
  • to enhance the School community by enabling parents to meet and participate in events and other fundraising activities and be more actively involved with the School.

Despite the recent difficult times we have all experienced, the OSA has raised over £100,000 in the past four years. These funds help to maintain the exceptionally high standards consistently achieved by the School. Our large contribution is due to the dedication of the OSA and many other parents who are proactive, who participate and help out at events and who contribute their time and efforts in other fund-raising activities.

All parents and carers automatically become members of the OSA when their children join the School. We rely on the support of new parents to join us and help us when they are able to. We do not expect everyone to be able to offer their time but hope that everyone will support our events and other fund-raisers when they can.
